JAGUA
Try Out Your Tattoo Ideas
People often use Jagua to try out a tattoo design before getting a real one or just for fun. It also creates a darker color than brown henna.
Some people may have heard of "black henna." It’s made with a chemical called PPD, which can cause harmful skin reactions. Don’t worry—we never use black henna at our shop.
Ages 15–17 can get Henna or Jagua with a parent’s permission.
Under 15 must be with an adult.

Drying time: It takes about 20–40 minutes to dry, depending on the size. Keep the area uncovered, so dress appropriately.

Swimming: Avoid swimming for at least 2 hours. Leave the gel on for 2–4 hours so the color develops well. Have Plan your day accordingly. If swimming, use sunscreen and Vaseline or Aquaphor. Apply in layers as needed.

Allergies: Jagua is safe for most skin types. If you’re allergic to tropical fruits, choose brown Henna or our fun color tattoos instead. (See ingredient list.)

Aftercare: For best results, avoid activities that make your skin shed faster. Don’t worry—we’ll give you an aftercare sheet to take home.

Lasting Time: Hand tattoos last up to 2 weeks, while other areas can last 2–3 weeks with good care (like avoiding shaving over them). Some customers say theirs lasted up to a month! It’s a temporary tattoo—the better you care for it, the longer it lasts.

Drying time: Henna takes 20–40 minutes to dry. Keep the area uncovered, so dress accordingly. Leave the paste on for at least 10 hours.

Swimming: After getting brown Henna, keep the tattoo dry for 10–12 hours. After it flakes off, limit water contact for another 12 hours, as water can affect the color.

Wrapping: We suggest to wrap your dried Henna to get darker results. A small additional charge will apply ($10 for the hand, $15+ including the fingers)

Aftercare: For best results, avoid activities that speed up skin renewal. Don’t worry—we’ll send you home with an aftercare sheet.
